I just don't understand why Disney is no longer capable of creating original stories with new characters. Why couldn't they make a movie about a completely different character - Like, say... Gabriella, a black mermaid whom Ariel meets and befriends in the Little Mermaid cartoon show? I would've watched that. If the movie is supposed to be about Ariel though, then the lead actress should look like the character from her original movie! Otherwise, it's not her.

And this is the same company that made a cartoon show called The Proud Family - a show about a family who are black! I don't seem to recall the characters on that show ever being white in previous forms of media. If they were capable of making an original cartoon show, with black lead characters, back then, then there's no reason they couldn't make an original movie with a black lead character.

This is why a black woman, who tried to apply for a job playing Snow White at Disneyland, was turned down. For as long as I worked there myself, I was to understand that they wanted the kids at the park to believe that the characters in their cartoon shows and movies are real. If a kid sees the movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves; which clearly stars a white woman, and then goes to Disneyland to meet her, only to see a black woman wearing her clothes, they're going to tell her, "You're not Snow White!" Or, even worse... imagine you're in line with your child, to meet Snow White, and the white cast member goes backstage for her break, and is replaced by another black cast member. How do you think the kids in line are going to react to clearly seeing two different women, wearing the same clothes? And did I mention the fact that, according to the original fairy tale, the character was named for having, and I quote, "skin as white as snow"?

And then there's the new Pinocchio film. You could fill a book with problems this film has, but here's the one that stands out the most: the blue fairy. It was one thing, for a character previously portrayed by a white woman, with long blonde hair, to be replaced with a black woman, with no hair. But not only is she shown to be incredibly clumsy with her magic, but only appears in that one scene. Whereas the original blue fairy helps Pinocchio four times in the original movie. Wow, what great black representation, right there!

In conclusion, Disney, stop race-swapping these characters. You're not fighting racism, you're promoting it. I loved Ariel as a kid, and it didn't have dick to do with what color her skin was. Same for Mulan, Pocahontas, and Esmeralda. I never cared that those girls weren't white, despite being white myself. I liked them anyway. (I do wish the true story of Pocahontas was more like the movie though.) This sort of thing is why I quit World of Warcraft. Blizzard is no longer the caring, respectful company who were all about making entertaining content and making sure their customers were having fun, and actually listened to feedback. They're now a dictatorship who are constantly taking good things out of the game, for ridiculous reasons, making unnecessary changes to appeal to the insane whiners out there, who would never even buy their products to begin with, and can’t even be bothered to fix actual problems in the game. Don't be today's Blizzard, Disney. Be Disney - as in, the good Disney that I grew up with.

Oh, and one more thing: no more Star Wars! Six movies were enough! Stop risking a bunch of inconsistencies, by inserting a bunch of extra backstories! We already know how most of said backstories are going to end anyway. Just like we know that any time anyone other than Luke, Obi-Wan, or Starkiller fights Darth Vader, they're going to get their ass kicked.

Suddenly, open borders aren't such a great idea, are they?

Who'd have thought the concept would turn out to be a double-edged sword?

So, since I became an official author, I pretty much retired from writing fanfiction. But in recent years, I'd been looking over some novelizations of old Sierra games, which I've been a huge fan of since my childhood.

And I'm sorry to say, that I could do better. So that's what I'm aiming to do. Strictly speaking, these novelizations that I'm planning to write are going to be fanfictions, but if all goes well, maybe I might actually be able to publish them. Of course, I won't bore my readers with all that garbage about Daventry's history or any of that background stuff that most fans of the games probably don't care to read about. (Sorry, Peter.) I also won't make Roger Wilco ramble on about every little thing, like the author of a certain Space Quest book did.

One thing I am considering though, since I learned that Space Quest was originally going to let the player choose their hero's gender, is writing two versions of that series. In the second version, Roger and Beatrice will switch roles. Unless I can come up with better, more original names. Similarly, at the college I went to, the theater department did the same when they performed The Odd Couple. There was both the regular version with Felix and Oscar, and a female version with Florence and Olive.

Right now, I only plan to do King's Quest and Space Quest, but I've considered Quest for Glory as well. I don't know if I want to try for the entire series, with every hero type, since that could take an eternity, but at the very least, I might do Dragon Fire. After all, as great as that game is, I can think of quite a few improvements it could've used; particularly in terms of the romantic relationships.

If nothing else, it might also be good practice for future books I intend to write. So, umm... yeah. Be on the lookout for those, I guess. If you're interested.

This terrorist hate group, who DARE to call themselves Black Lives Matter, burned down businesses, wrecked people's vehicles, physically assaulted and even KILLED innocent people - many of whom were BLACK! And yet, THIS is what they're being arrested for.

But what's more than that, to all of you who donated to this group, thinking you were fighting racism and helping the families of "Police brutality victims" (which they were totally NOT, but that's beside the point...): I hope you're all happy, because you got scammed. You were lied to. Not one penny of the money you donated went to the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, or any of those "victims" at all. It was all squandered on spending sprees for the group's founders.

Well, as J.J. Jackson would say...

(And this message also goes out to all you rabid Trump haters, who thought America would be better off under Joe Biden, only to then see America's goose become well and truly cooked.)

What kind of demented excuses for animators are they hiring these days?! I thought the Tangled cartoon looked terrible, compared to the beautifully-animated movie, but this new crap they're making is even worse! Just looking at that image, of those... things... they're trying to pass off as people, makes me sick! If my novels were being made into animated movies and I saw an animator making any of my characters look like that, I'd beat the shit out of them!
